A black body with deep mauve-purple rim starts off the vibrant nose packed with unabashed youthfulness. Blackberry coulis, cinnamon-raisin bread and sweet spice on the nose transition into the same on the palate with the additional kick of blueberry cobbler drizzled with sweetened whipped cream. Almost dry on the attack, the wine shows medium fruit concentration but minimal complexity. A pleasant sipping wine on its own or with barbecue. The medium finish has a strain of minerality. Drink young—now to 2014.
