An impressive black core leads to a wee raspberry rim. Oil pit, ripe black plum and eucalyptus are the focus of the nose, which shows a whiff of volatile acidity. Undertones of dark chocolate and coffee grinds suggest light oak treatment. The full body and balanced alcohol receive life from the supporting acidity and chalky tannins. Will drink well now and through 2015 it may even develop further.
