Boastfully dark in its near-impenetrable core, this wine has an alluring, purple-hued cherry rim. The nose is exuberant, with clean and boisterous dark fruit flavors, savory curry, dark chocolate, grilled meat and vanilla bean nuances. It’s a cacophony of flavors that results in a fun wine to please many a mainstream wine lover. The tannins are a bit too turbo-charged to drink without food, but the medium acidity is seamlessly integrated. The moderate complexity of this medium-bodied wine allows for a solid finish. Best enjoyed through 2016.
