Darkly colored but not opaque at the core, this wine has a crimson color. Its nose is somewhat muted but suggests an evolved wine in its notes of sawdust, digestive cracker and tobacco leaf. An array of tart red berries creeps into the palate—strawberries, lingonberries, red currants and cranberries. Pungent acidity shapes this wine more firmly than its somewhat thin and dusty tannins. The very quick finish shows some greenness of fruit and tannins. Drink up.
