Pale yellow with the tiniest amber hue, this wine is vinous and layered in aroma and grapiness. Its promising nose is followed by a particularly rich palate that could use just a touch more structure. There’s a pithy peanut-skin bitterness that helps lift the serious fruit—perhaps in need of more youthful energy or more acidity. There’s good stuffing here in the layers of fruit and medium-length finish. It’s sexy, lustful and near impossible to resist, best enjoyed through 2016.
