As black as pavement at the core, this wine has a neon-like magenta rim. The nose is fresh and packed with bramble, tart black plum and pomegranate. There are also tinges of forest floor and cinnamon. The palate is downright lusty in its considerable juiciness, but stringy tannins just manage to corral the palate along with mouthwatering acidity, working together to extend the flavors into the medium-length finish. Drink now through 2017.
