Notes of bramble, forest berries, blueberries, pinecone and fresh sage eagerly leave the glass. Deep black plum in color, the wine is dense on the palate between its generous alcohol and marked glycerol. The tannins are firm and add an edge of bitterness. Dark chocolate notes derived from oak accompany soy and marzipan notes, which, while pronounced, add interest to the wine. Drink now or from 2015–2017 for some additional beneficial development.
